Mentor of the Year Award - Asif Sadiq and Mary Daniels
Asif Sadiq (LEFT) -
Equality and Diversity Police Officer by day and Mosaic mentor by night, Asif helps disengaged young men through the Youth Offenders Training (YOT) and is one of only two mentors who have stayed until the end of YOT due to the connection he had made with mentees, of whom many have struggled to engage. He also mentors in secondary schools hoping to guide youngsters to self-fulfilment.

“I believe that everyone has the right to be great, especially young people.” This led Mary to take up the challenge of mentoring a whole class at Ellen Wilkinson School. Mary uses Life Chef, a form of life coaching that uses cooking analogies to empower people. She supports a former inmate under the Mosaic Prison Mentoring programme and helped them secure a job in sports leadership.
