Inspired by Muhammad is a brand new campaign launched by the Exploring Islam Foundation that is designed to improve the public understanding of Islam and Muslims. The campaign sets out to demonstrate how Muhammad inspires them to contribute to society, with a focus on women’s rights, social justice and the environment. emel’s editor, Sarah Joseph is an Ambassador of the campaign and you can see a clip of her discussing animal welfare in Islam here -
The website and branding is quite exquisite, but I would have liked to see more salutations of peace upon our Prophet, peace be upon him. I know it’s something that often falls along the way side when we are address non-Muslims, but I think it is important.
Mash’Allah, a great idea with a strong focus. Clear and concise adverts like this will, god willing, help to break through the misinformed bias that aggravates islamaphobia and allows the notion that Islam is misoginist to prevail.
@Saira Lila – could I ask why you feel this campaign will result in nothing? If all that is achieved is awareness of the emphasis Islam places on womens rights, then the campaign will be successful.
What a useless and rubbish campaign. The Government/FCO throwing away tax payers money!
