The Source

NB The film is certified 15A. It contains some unpleasant scenes of a violent and sexual nature, which may cause offence to some people.

Join us on Wednesday 16th May from 6.30pm for an exclusive screening of The Source. Set in a small village in Morocco, the story follows a group of women who fetch water from a mountaintop spring in the blazing sun. The path is dangerous, and many women have been injured and suffered miscarriages as a result. Leila, a young bride, urges the women to launch a love strike: they are to keep away from their men until they agree to run water into the village. Based on a true story, this wonderful tale of love, friendship and courage explores many issues, which are at the forefront of the Muslim world today.

Drinks reception will begin from 6.30pm.

Please note: Seating is arranged on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
